We call this “accessible performance”. Our purpose is “LOVE to RIDE”, and we want you to as well, that is why we do what we do.
Celebrating 20 years of business in Australia in 2025, the familiar black and orange JetBlack cycling brand has evolved to be more innovative and affordable than ever.
At JetBlack we design and manufacture our own cycling products and distribute them world-wide.
In addition, we represent great global brands such as Stans NoTubes, PIVOT Mountain Bikes, WTB, Cruzee Kids balance bikes and many more. Our products are designed with both the novice and the expert in mind. It can be as simple as ensuring the pressure dial on our pumps is easy to read and the way the valve attachment is simple to use, or it could be as high tech as our new smart trainer… we think the smartest of them all.
Like many independent start-ups, JetBlack Cycling started small, originally operating out of storage facility with just two shelves of pallet racking.
From those small beginnings, a lifelong passion for cycling, along with consistent and significant investment into people and product development, has produced remarkable results not only for JetBlack, but for their dealers and customers worldwide. JetBlack sells trainers and accessories into 22 countries around the world.
Did you know if you look carefully, the JB symbol is in the shape of a rider on a bike? You can see the head of the cyclist, the curve of their back and the wheel in the rear. We think of this stuff.
Our purpose was born out of founder and CEO Tony Simmonds passion for cycling which started right from his days as a child getting on his BMX and riding out into the suburbs, getting lost, then finding his way home.
As he got older he discovered mountain biking in the 1990’s, commuting, and later getting involved in business and discovering a love of road riding and indoor cycling training. As a cyclist he reflects on the freedom and mateship through cycling as “therapy” through difficult seasons in his life.
JetBlack is also a family affair, with Tony’s Dad being involved as a mentor, investor and non-executive director. Tony’s Dad Victor Simmonds, sadly passed away in late 2023 while the latest smart trainer was in late stage development; so it is called VICTORY, because it is a victory and also in honour of Vic Simmonds.
